How Can A Business Grow IN THE CURRENT Economy?
It’s a good question, because these are indeed tough, frightening times. The overall economy is unpredictable, seemingly unstable, and mostly unfriendly when it comes to owning and operating a small or medium-sized business. Though Honestly, I’m utterly shocked at only how unpredictable, seemingly unstable, and mostly unfriendly MANY business owners are with their customers, clients, and patients. It’s one of the few things nowadays that leaves me completely speechless.
During days gone by 12 months, I’ve powered over 15,000 miles on various cross-country road trips over the United States. I’ve spent weeks in Seattle, Washington, D.C., Vermont, Philadelphia, New York City, and in between everywhere. All along the way I’ve stopped at a bazillion different businesses. To my amazement, finished. 80% of these businesses had in common was that they proved if you ask me precisely how little they cared about me as a customer.
As significantly as they understood, I was an area resident who was a potential, life-long customer of theirs. It didn’t matter. They just didn’t value me. The more the business seemed to trust location and feet traffic, the greater they appeared to treat their customers with disdain and contempt. Sadly, those kinds of businesses are the norm these days.
I’d eliminated with the objective (and money!) to buy. As a business development strategist who has dedicated myself to assisting to develop businesses, certainly I’m more hyper-vigilant and delicate as a person.
